The lovely Betty, over there at Bead Bugs, has tagged me! Shoot. Some cute little Gobliny creature tagged her and now I'm on the hook for it. *snicker* I'm not going to follow all the rules and tag anyone now... I'll wait til I get settled and then tag you smirking hecklers. I've been told to post the first picture in the first folder, and here it is. A lovely shot I like to call, "Little Girl Stuffing Face in Front of the Tv", taken by our very own Miss. Deedles.

Haberdashery on Hiatus
Temporary Hiatus! The nest has been boxed and packed up, the proprietess has been recommissoned as navigator, and the Haberdashery has been placed on hold until we arrive in our new digs. Can't wait to get back to work! I've kept a few small things out so my fingers have some busy work while we're on the road. If I end up with anything worth showing, I'll share!
Peace, love, and life until such time as I return.

An Itty Bitty Friend
Itty bitty monkey babies are so fun to make! Here's an itty bitty friend for the first itty bitty monkey baby. Soon enough, there will be a whole little itty bitty army of itty bitty monkeys, marching in formation across my living room...

Some things just take on a life of their own.
Hi. Now this is what I call relaxing. Working on something for the simple joy of wanting to do it. What started off as a simple gift has blossomed into a full blown Project. When I finished piecing the original idea together I decided that it was just a bit too thin. I didn't want to add batting to it, because I didn't want it to end up bunching and becoming lumpy. I decided to sandwich the purple layer between the red/yellow/black layer and a layer of denim patches. I always have plenty of denim patches around, so I grabbed a huge handful and set to work piecing it out. As I worked, I realized that I was creating a jigsaw puzzle of randomly shaped and placed scraps. The rag-tag aesthetic took over, and I could no more stop what was forming in front of me than I could stop breathing. I am rather excited about it, and cannot wait until I have it finished. I cannot help but feel a small blushing flush of pride, because I am extraordinarily happy with how it is coming along.

Itty Bitty Baby Sock Monkey
It's itty bitty! Teenie tiny! A baby sock monkey. A retarded baby sock monkey, but hey it's the first time I tried to make one so small. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do it, but here he is - and I think he's darn cute! Ok, you can see all his stitches, one leg is fatter than the other, his arms are lopsided, and his ears are squashed; but damn he's cute. More to come, I'm sure!
